Hi everyone:

Thank you for expressing interest in joining our staff team. We are constantly looking to recruit new staff members, and we believe that each and every individual player is a potential candidate. This thread will go over each of our requirements to join the team, and other key tips you need to know.

Your application is what we first look at when you apply. We look at your detail, your grammar, your length, and how well you answered the questions. Basically, put effort into your application. This means spending more than 5 minutes on an application. When writing your Application, make sure to hit on all the key points that would make us consider you for Moderator.

If your application is accepted, you may be forwarded to an interview process. If so, you will be notified and a date and time will be set up. If you pass the interview, you will be set up with a mentor and put into a trial phase, in which you must log all of the punishments you give. You will be given a staff handbook with all of the info regarding punishments.

Being a member of our staff team is a big deal, and comes with the necessary amount of responsibility. As a staff member, you are our communities first port of call, which means you must be competent and able to answer all of their queries. If you are to be accepted, you will join the team as a Helper, where you'll go through a series of training and trials to make sure you're fit for the team. In future weeks and months, you can be promoted up our staff rank ladder.

Being on the team is also a community role, hence why we request you spend a lot of time with the community before applying. It's important that you know a lot of the players so you can assist them on a more personal (but still professional) level. You must not only follow our community rules, but stick to a set of staff rules too. If you end up being removed from our team, you will not be allowed to re-apply.

By applying, you agree that you understand everything mentioned in this thread and will follow it.

What are we looking for?

  • Maturity: We need our moderators to be mature and calm
  • Language: We are an English server, great understanding of the English language is a must.
  • Staffing: You may not be in an active staff position on a different server.
  • Voice Chat: You must be having, and willing to use a microphone for voice chat.
  • Age: You must be at least 14 years old in order to apply.
  • Forum: You must be registered on our forums for at least a month.
  • Playtime: You must have 10 hours of playtime per week in-game.
  • Activity: You must be active on all of our sub-servers.
  • Recording: You must be able to record hackers / rule breakers at a reasonable frame-rate and quality. (Minimum: 720p @ 30FPS)
Please note that at times, these requirements may be relaxed as our administration team sees fit.

Being staff is a big position to handle, no matter what server you're moderator on. This is where your maturity comes into play. First, lets go over what immaturity is. If you've ever complained in chat about being killed, or blatantly called someone a hacker in chat, those are some examples of a behavior that's considered immature. We need our moderators to be calm and collected in even the most heated of situations. If you believe a player is cheating or hacking in any way, gather sufficient proof and report it in a proper manner. Expressing your anger in chat shows immaturity, and will usually lead to a moderators demotion / warning.

Above all, in-game activity is very important if you are wanting to apply for a staff position. We are looking for staff members that will be able to log on every day, and that will be able to spend at least an hour a day on the servers. Staff must be active in-game, so if you’re inactive when you apply, you most likely won't be accepted.

A Moderators most important job is to be friendly and helpful to the community. We are there to put the community first, even if it means dying, losing a killstreak or stopping what you're doing to help others. The player’s needs come first. If you are applying for staff, be sure you enjoy helping people. Else, this position is not meant for you. We are looking for staff members who like to answer others members questions, concerns, and are friendly when spoken too.

Reporting Rule Breakers:

We encourage our player base to report all rule breakers to be dealt with, so we can make our servers a better community. Be sure as a member, you are actively reporting as many rule breakers as you can spot. This greatly increases your chances to become Moderator, and shows us that you are dedicated to helping the servers.

Restricted Actions
Please note that the following actions will instantly deny your (future) application(s):
  • Annoying staff members (even in private) by asking them to look at your application.
  • Attacking the staff team after your application was denied, for whatever reason.
  • Using a VPN or proxy while on our forums or server.
  • Bumping your application.
  • Creating troll applications (you will be banned)
  • Applying more than once will result in auto deny. If you submitted your application by mistake or it was incomplete, contact staff before submitting again.

If You Get Denied:

Some of you may get denied in the future, or have been denied in the past. If this has happened to you, or it happens to you in the future, here is the key to bounce back: don’t give up. I know it may seem hard to get back at it after a denial, but that doesn’t mean you don’t get a second chance. It all depends on how you act after your denial. If you act immature and complain that your application was denied, that shows us that you are definitely not ready to handle a Moderator position. Instead, if you brush it off and step up your activity, it shows us that you are truly a dedicated member, and may influence us to give you a chance next time. So remember, if you truly want a position as Moderator, don’t give up.
I hope this helps all of you who are planning on / have applied for Moderator. This covers most (not all) of what we are looking for in our staff members, and what we expect from them. Think about this before you apply, and be sure to step up on what you can improve on.
